Assistant Accounting Manager

We are a growing Engineering Design and Consulting firm seeking an Assistant Accounting Manager candidate with a strong understanding of financial statements and transactions. He or she will support the Finance department, accountant, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks; including preparing budgets, generating reports, and maintaining records. Must have financial reporting and preparation experience. Significant growth potential!

Duties & Responsibilities

Supervision and Facilitation:
- Accounts Receivable (Generating Invoices Semi-Monthly and Receive Payments)
- Accounts Payable (Completing Purchase Orders, Bill Payments and Check Runs)
- Data Entry (Project Estimates Input)

Payroll Management:
- Supervise/Generate Payroll and Review Reports

Banking and Financial Reports:
- Complete Bank Reconciliation
- Generate Timely Financial Reports and Compliance with Government Reports
-Work Closely with External Accountant, Coordinate Internal and External Audits
- Complete Year-End Analysis and Prepare Annual Budget
- Prepare Accurate Books and work with CPA for Tax Returns
-Encoding Accounting Entries for Data Processing
- Implement, Administer, and Enforce Procedures
*Other Duties as Assigned

- B.A. or B.S. in Business Administration or Related Field
- 4+ Years Accounting and Administrative Work Experience
- Strong QuickBooks Work Experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (including Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Ability to Multitask, Meet Deadlines & be a Team Player
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- High Attention to Details, Strong Analytic & Problem-Solving Skills
- QuickBooks Programming (+)
- Office Management Work Experience (+)
- Payroll Work Experience (+)
