Position Summary

The role of the Franchise Services Specialist is to positively impact Revenue, Quality, Guest Satisfaction and Hotel Engagement for approximately 70 properties in an assigned region while collaborating with the brand, Regional Directors, and Regional Vice Presidents. Drive hotel action plans to ensure effective utilization of Radisson Hotel Group programs, applications and resources. Exceed expectations of Franchisees and Owned & Managed Hotel Representatives by providing support which is relevant to achieving financial goals.

Collaborate and provide support to internal businesses within Radisson Hotel Group: Operations, Sales, Marketing, Revenue Optimization, Online Travel Agencies, Radisson Rewards, Online Strategies and Optimization, Reservation Services, Customer Care, Hotel Systems, and Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a collaborative, professional business relationship with hotels and proactively connect with them to discuss impact to their operation and performance.
  • Provide feedback, report analysis and recommendations to the Regional Director prior to a hotel site visit.
  • Partner with Regional Director and hotel management team to implement hotel action plans, either generating from a hotel visit or from a Quality Performance Review Management Action Plan (MAP).
  • Provide hotels with recommendations on how to complete their action plans or MAPs, and help them access value of the tools available and required tactics to complete the plan.
  • Support hotel accountability for action plan execution by scheduling time to follow up with hotels and question actions not aligned, while properly engaging the Regional Director in the results.
  • Support and train hotels using all Radisson Hotel Group applications and resources.
  • Work within brand and business implementation teams to ensure all documents and electronic resources are relevant and consistent.
  • Participate as a member of the Radisson Hotel Group Communication Protocol team. Review drafts and provide feedback to ensure optimal clarity for hotel communication.
  • Respond and guide hotels through questions regarding RFP and CCF process, consortia process and all related sales bids based on brand processes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Brand Standards. Influence and inspire Brand Standard compliance and assist in rollout of new Brand Standard and programs.
  • Stay abreast of environmental influences which impact the market within assigned regions. Support Regional Director in planning strategies and communication during crises or disasters.
  • Lead 1:1 meetings with hotel management team to discuss property information, online travel agency participation, global distribution systems updates, brand web displays or any other tactic or process related to optimizing revenue stream.
  • Communicate hotel feedback regarding processes and share information with Radisson Hotel Group leaders, regarding hotel feedback on trends, challenges or related topics impacting assigned hotel set.
  • Participate in projects across the organization, representing the brand and the voice of hotel. Serve as a subject matter expert when assigned to lead, organize and execute projects.
  • Consult, lead, influence, and collaborate to bring new hotels online by following processes to ensure accurate, optimal, and timely updates to the database. Provide training and orientation in support of Radisson Hotel Group standards, programs and applications.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director to ensure new hotels are represented correctly within applications.
  • Manage offline process for hotels leaving system, guiding through proper protocol and procedures, providing proper documentation; and ensuring accurate, optimal and timely updates to the database.
  • Collaborate with members of District Revenue Specialist and Revenue Optimization Performance Enhancement Services teams to ensure effective support for hotels in region.
  • As required, travel to hotels in region and collaborate with Regional Director and hotel management team.
  • Participate in a hotel visit or regional best practice session; responsibilities include presenting to hotel staff and management team on various topics.

Requirements/Skills

  • Associate College Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years of previous Radisson Hotel Group support service experience or hotel experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Relationship builder - ability to hold franchise owners and GMs accountable to actions with tact and poise
  • Ability to travel to assigned region.
  • The ability to read, write and speak in Spanish is necessary for Franchise Specialists that are assigned to properties in Latin America region

Physical Demands

  • Occasional long periods of standing
  • No heavy lifting expected, exertion of up to 25 pounds of force occasionally may be required
  • Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment
