Position Responsibilities:

Ensures the timely and efficient seating of the Restaurant by:

Completing the opening checklist and that the restaurant is prepared for service.

Alert guests to food and beverage specials.

Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.

Answer incoming phone calls to the Restaurant.

Accurately record reservations in Open Table.

Assist with set up and break down of the Grab and Go, Juice station and/ or other needs of restaurant or bar.

When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party in order to create a wait list.

Provide guests with estimated wait time.

Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.

Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.

Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name.

Set table for appropriate amount of people in party, Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.

Relay messages to bussers/servers/management as needed.

Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

Assist with clearing tables after guests. Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.

Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.

Sincerely thank guests as they depart.

Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Assist with the successful operation of the Business Class Lounge by:

Completing the opening checklist and that the restaurant and/or Business Class Lounge is prepared for service.

Alert guests to food and beverage specials.

Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.

Answer incoming phone calls to the Business Class Lounge.

Responsible for the set up and breakdown of all Business Class Lounge food and beverage presentation.

Alert the kitchen if food/beverage needs to be replenished and promptly refill food/beverage items.

Washes dishes in the absence of the dishwasher and/or as directed by the servers and manager.

Complete food and beverage requisition for the next day's delivery.

Restock, refill, clear counters and tables, and vacuum lounge at the end of every shift.

Abide by legal standards and TIPS alcohol training guidelines for alcohol service to guests.

Works as a Team member to maintain pleasant work environment:

Follows the Carlson Attendance Policy.

Reports to work dressed according to Carlson Grooming Standards.

Maintain a positive inter-departmental relationship through the hotel and with outside vendors.

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations:

Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service.

Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems.

Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in similar position within an upscale restaurant environment is preferred;

Experience with a Point of Sales system and Open Table is preferred;

Excellent attention to detail;

Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

Must possess a team spirited attitude and a willingness to help;

Ability to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and guests;

Ability to retain and give general hotel information.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 pounds;

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time;

Ability to hear with 100% accuracy with correction;

Ability to stand and exert well paced mobility for an eight (8) hour shift.
