Job Title: Senior QA Inspector Department: Quality Reports To: QA Manager
ROLE: You will primarily be performing various inspections in a fast-paced precision sheet metal shop environment. From simple components to complex assemblies and weldments, you will be challenged daily with the wide variety of product manufactured at IMT. You will be a key resource providing valuable input on inspection methods and metrology. Come build with us!
• Performing first article inspections and generating FAIRs, verifying all sheet metal components and assemblies to the Customer print.
• In process inspection as well as incoming inspection from outside processes, (painting, plating etc).
• Create Inspection Records and input other entries into our Quality Management System.
• Identify nonconformances and reports, work with the team to resolve them.
• Support and/or develop junior inspectors where applicable.
• Advise on best inspection methods, practices.
• Manage tool calibration.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering level drawings.
• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Ability to write and/or complete general work reports.
• Proficient in basic computer skills & Microsoft Office.
• At least 5 years of experience as an inspector using precision manual measuring devices such as calipers, height gages, thread gauges, protractors, micrometers, etc.
• Thorough understanding of GD&T.
• Proficiency with CMM programming/inspection.
• Familiarity with CMM Manager a plus.
