Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Telemarketer to generate sales appointments (in Calendly) by cold calling small-medium sized businesses in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for influencing existing or potential customers to sign up for a free consultation with one of our senior sales professionals for our accounting/bookkeeping service. A successful telemarketer must be friendly and persuasive. You must be able to understand the customer’s requirements in a short time and present our bookkeeping solutions that meet their needs. The ideal candidate will be patient and cool-tempered to deal with aggressiveness and complaints. The goal is to promote business growth by expanding the company’s clientele.


  • Cold call people using a given list to present our firm's accounting and bookkeeping services
  • Main performance criteria:  Sets-up calendly appointments for our senior sales team members to close the sale
  • Answer incoming calls from prospective customers
  • Use scripts to provide information about our bookkeeping features, prices etc. and present their benefits
  • Ask pertinent questions to understand the customer’s requirements
  • Persuade the customer to buy by demonstrating how our services meet their needs
  • Record the customer’s personal information accurately in our CRM system, HubSpot
  • Deal with complaints or doubts to safeguard our company’s reputation
  • Go the “extra mile” to meet lead quotas and help facilitate future sales
  • Keep records of calls and sales and record useful information in HubSpot
  • E-mail prospects to follow-up


  • Proven experience as telemarketer or similar sales/customer service role
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quotas preferably over the phone
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. HubSpot) and telephone systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in English
  • Skilled in negotiation and dealing with complaints
  • Persistent and results-oriented
  • Patient and able to handle customer rejection
  • High school diploma; BSc/Ba is a plus
  • Bi-lingual speakers are a plus (e.g., Spanish, Polish, etc.)

Job Types: Independent Contractor

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
