Overview

The Operations Manager for Hotel Transitions is responsible for lending operational support to Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Banquets, and other areas as designated by the Regional Director of Operations for Hotel Transitions. This position communicates directly to the Regional Director of Operations for Hotel Transitions and Property Level Leadership.
Responsibilities

  • Lead all property operational managers to success on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Create action/training plans related to property strategic plans.
  • Onboard, train, and ensure successful transition of property operations manager's to HEI Rhythms of Success, Culture, Tools, etc.
  • Interview, hire, train, develop, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate of staff members.
  • Execute financial performance as outlined in the business plan for each transition - ramp up property to compliance with 90/10 as needed
  • Develop and implement controls for expense management.
  • Serve as department heads as needed in new hotels.
  • Set up Rhythms of Success within the property and establish the appropriate level of discipline by the entire team for each Rhythm.
  • Work with the transition team, GM and property team in these key areas for success:
  • Payroll - rollout schedule templates with productivity immediately and hold weekly schedule reviews. Set up interim LLG within 30 days.
  • Direct expense controls implement checkbooks with a declining balance and PO templates. All purchases to be approved.
  • GSS - Implement HEI daily and weekly GSS rhythms. Communicate GSI goals based on brand and STLY data to all departments in key metrics.
  • Participate with the development of the stub/annual budgets to identify any unique elements of the property and validate productivity/staffing guide/expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with all HEI SOPs as outlined
  • Able to resolve guest, supervisor and associate conflicts
  • Able to effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, guests, vendors and executive committee members
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned
